COVID-19 is a virus new to human immune system, but according the definition of immune system, virus belongs to external pathogen, no matter how the virus mutation the immune system will fight it. Immune system is the only available weapon for fighting any virus even however it mutated or not, we only need to do is: give the chance to fight external and internal antigens to keep our body healthier.
When virus infected, initially causes upper respiratory infection, the membrane and mast cell infected and release different cytokines. Cause inflammation. If we treat and intervene patients at this stage successfully reduce cytokines, it will stop the natural course of illness; If the infection on lower respiratory membrane and alveoli, it releases cytokines, we need to reduce the inflammation on lower respiratory and alveolitis, that is different with mast cell and upper preparatory membrane inflammation, the treatment formula will be different, maybe due to the different cytokines. After lower respiratory infection the alveoli cells could be perform different pathologic change, but almost perform as necrosis at the time, those metabolites plus exudation accumulate in lungs, on this stage, our treatment and intervention is to accelerate absorbing the metabolites and controlling the inflammation that is the source of producing metabolites; and the inflammation can affect microcirculation which blocks blood flow. So, at this stage of the treatment and intervention is controlling inflammation in capillaries and increase blood flow.
The treatment we join the clinic for treating COVID-19 only on three stages :1. Control Inflammation on antigen level; 2 accelerate metabolites absorbing and. Improve microcirculation, prevent blood clots in internal environment level. 3. Reduce symptoms of chough, shortness breath, chest pain. That mainly targets on antigen-antibody and internal environment, improve the quality of life and reduce the mortality rate, mediate immunity indirectly killing COVID-19 virus by T cell. The whole theme is to control inflammation, reduce the possibility of cytokine storm, such mediate the immune system achieving the goal of killing COVID-19 virus by T cells.
And some clinical research indicated that, medical herbs named honeysuckle inhibit SARS-CoV-2 replication. However, whether the medical herbs directly inhibit the virus or the expression of the cell inflammation and regulate the immune system, the phagocytosis of the virus by T cells is inconclusive, the mechanism is yet to be determined. However, it is certain that medical herbs are clinically effective in treating COVID-19 virus. It directly or indirectly kills virus seem is not important at the moment. The cause of death is cytokine storm. Stopping cytokine storm is important step for save life in the natural process.

Your discussion of TCM methodology as a therapeutic treatment for patients with advanced infection seems very interesting, especially regarding the control of microclots. SARS 2, like other RNA positive viruses, can replicate quickly by forgoing interim genetic replication stages. This in combination with its S Protein variant which seems to to be highly compatible with a wide range of epithelial cell protein receptors renders it highly contagious between hosts and rapidly multiplying once a host infection is initiated. That’s a bad combination and places more emphasis on therapeutic measures.
However, I don’t see much focus on preventive measures using TCM. It’s now all about developing S Protein spike stimulation of producing antigens and certain classes of T cells. We are now dealing with the leading scientific edge of microgenetics though fabrication of nanoparticles which mimic virus proteins. Your focus is on the cell level bioscience but vaccine work has progressed to the sub-genetic level in the nanometer range. So far so good but this is a brave new world.
Thanks for your pointing!
I am a clinician, I didn’t clinical researches on patients’ symptoms and lab metrics. The treatment results will differ from the vaccine.
Wish you can give me more idea and point!
Hi! Just found your site. Can I ask for an update on your research? What herbs/combination are you using? thanks
Great! We have researched in different ways. We are not treating the virus’s infection but also successfully preventing susceptible populations. Thanks for your interest!
