Dear President Trump,

My name is Hou, Wanzhu, an licensed acupuncturist with a background in both Conventional and Chinese  medicine. In the past 40 years, my research  has focused on using modern technology to study and track the mechanism of Chinese medicine in clinic. Chinese medicine is not treat autoimmunity and trauma only，but also treat infectious disease, too, including coronavirus. Every disease happens on cell’s level, either affects cell’s structure or function.

SARS happened about 17 years ago in 2013, but until now there still has no successful vaccine yet; AIDS virus has been circulating in the world for decades, yet no vaccine. Coronavirus is a superposition of these two kinds of viruses. When can we find the effective vaccine to be used clinically? Moreover, the virus mutates quickly. When vaccine is made, the virus antigenicity could have changed. Then what is the point of vaccine. 

Further, when the virus is infected, our immunization program starts, and the immune disorder causes damage to the lungs and multiple organs, leading to death. Once again, killing the virus does not stop the lethal immune response! The use of a ventilator can prolong the lives of some patients, but it cannot prevent acute inflammatory storms (cytokine storm). We need measures to protect and recover damaged internal organs, regulate disordered immune system, prevent fibrosis,  and stem cells to replace the damaged ones, and support micro-circulation, that prevent further more organ damaging and clots, stroke happening.

In the past 40 years, I have worked hardly to study the mechanism of natural treatment on different diseases and discover treatment rules. My book “Treating Autoimmune Disease with Chinese Medicine” is published by the famous medical publishing: Elsevier, internationally with copyright. Taking the treatment of autoimmune diseases as the main theme, the book elaborated the law of treatment of immune-related diseases. Natural treatments save the fate of modern medicine have failed clinically. This includes infectious diseases such as, but not limited to AIDS, Lyme disease, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, influenza; non-infectious diseases: lupus erythematosus, primary pulmonary hypertension, diabetes, lung failure, liver failure, kidney failure and, cancer…

So, what is common pathology behind these diseases? What is the law of treatment between the different disease? The answer lies with different visceral cells. The cell structure is destroyed somehow and it cannot play its own function well.  one becomes ill, although the illness can be called different names. This is why any disease occurs on cellular level. But the morphology of the cells is different when it becomes injured for different people. 

Take hypothyroidism as an example. If thyroid function is low and the thyroid glands are damaged and cannot produce enough thyroxine for body use, then the scientific method is to support the body with exogenous thyroxine to reduce the clinical symptoms, so that the patient’s symptoms are reduced, but the patient must take this medicine for the rest of the life. This is our current popular treatment based on modern scientific practice.

But there is an another medicine that called alternative medicine in the US, that treatments beyond what science could prove that is to repair the damaged cell structure and function reduce using supplementary drugs. This treatment method is difficult to be reflected in animal experiments, which is a problem with scientific thinking. So, this can be called super-scientific method which treats clinical medical problems that science cannot solve.

At present, Covid-19 is ravaging throughout the world, and science has not been able to kill virus and limit the cytokine storm either. Then why don’t we face to supper-scientific method to save the American.

The human body has a natural immune system that we are born with, which has external and internal functions, including the function of fighting pathogens, virus. The treatment is based on the use of the immune system itself, direct the different functional cells to achieve the healing goal. 

1. Before Coronavirus infection, we need to do: improving the quality of NK cells and T cells. This is the prevention part:

(1) Without the underlying disease: improving the quality of thymus and bone marrow cells to produce sufficient quality immune cells, like NK cell and T cells (killer cell) to kill small and medium amounts of virus that may be encountered. If a large amount of virus invades, it may cause disease. Then we need to concern about follow the treatment plan below.

(2) someone has an underline disease, then that must be controlled first. According scientist reports: more than 90% of the diseases caused by inflammation, which makes the immune system biased towards the cytokine storm state if the person infected Covid-19. At the time, the primary disease prevention must be processed. The selection of treatment method is according to the cytopathological state and internal environment that caused by the patient’s inflammation at the time, which is beneficial to the patient and the possibility of cytokine storms can be reduced once the virus invades.

2. At the time of Covid-19 infection, whether the virus causes acute inflammation depends on the patient’s immune status:

(1) When Coronavirus is infected, it will cause an inflammatory response. The purpose of treatment at this time is to suppress the inflammatory response, promote the absorption of inflammatory metabolites, and block the further development of the disease;

(2) When Coronavirus infection causes pneumonia, the alveolar cells are destroyed, and the inflammatory metabolites and exudation stay in the lungs, hindering the tracheal and lungs ventilated function; The metabolites increase a new inflammation process. Inflammation hinders local blood circulation may cause clots and aggravates lung damage. Treatment at this time focuses on inhibiting the release of cytokines, regulating immunity, accelerating the absorption of metabolites, and improving blood circulation. The treatment at this time, the purpose is to treat the existing pathological state and prevent the disease from progressing to the malignant stage;

(3) In the recovery period, after Coronavirus infection, the cells after the inflammatory response show different pathological phenomena, and the external environment of the cells also has different manifestations. According to the different morphology, the treatment will be the different. Which lead the patient’s pathological response to physiological process.

In the course of using super-scientific treatment methods, we saw that the indicators of inflammation CRP, IgM are reducing, C3, C4 are raise, Lung imaging improves and the viral indicators changed from positive to negative. This is the treatment goal expected by professions all over the world. 

There are currently approximately 40,000 licensed practitioners in the United States who can protect more than 400,000 patients per day from mild to severe conditions of patients who infected. The daily cost of treatment may be between 5-6 million / day (in US). The addition of this treatment can reduce the suffer of patient’s natural course; reduce the pressure on the ER; reduce the Respiratory Distress Syndrome happening and reduce mortality.

I think it is the best treatment choice for American. Therefore, I suggest Mr. Trump to concern about it.
